Happy Days

Make a wish; we will do everything to make it come true

At Château d’Estoublon, we invite our guests to live a unique experience, tailored to their personal preferences. Depending on the season and the number of guests, everyone can follow their own rhythm. You meet up for lunch or a candle-light dinner. In between, we offer you the Provence of Cézanne, Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso…In this land blessed with a gift for happiness, you can sample it all: meditation, yoga, massage, cultural events and physical thrills. Here, in this private kingdom that stands apart from the usual luxury hotels, time is its most exotic offering: time to do whatever you want, time to do nothing…

Winemaker, olivegrower, cellarmaster, miller: the Estoublon estate is home to some of the most wonderful professions working the land in tune with the seasons. Here, you have the rare chance of listening to them, following them into the vineyards or the olive groves, harvesting grapes or picking olives, tasting silky estate wines and learning how to blend an Haute Couture olive oil.

Estoublon just for you

Arles is known as little Rome because after Rome itself, it is the town with the biggest number of vestiges and sites dating from the Roman Empire. The whole region, in fact, bears witness to this glorious past: the Roman town of Glanum in Saint-Rémy de Provence, the Pont du Gard Roman aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Arc de Triomphe in Orange, Roman aqueduct in Fontvieille.

Choose a few beautiful black truffles at the famous truffle market in Richerenches; learn all the secrets of the Tuber Melanosporum while biting into a piece of toasted country bread topped with some generous slices of the black diamond of French cuisine; end this winter outing with lunch at La Bergerie, the country bistrot of the two Michelin-starred chef Edouard Loubet at the Domaine de Capelongue.

The outstanding quality of this festival is based on the presence, every year, of artists of international renown and of superb or-chestras and choirs. In the purpose-built setting of Le Grand Théâtre, or occasionally, under starlit skies, on the delightful open-air stage of the old Archbishop’s Palace.

Each town, each village has its own market. Little markets set up on the village square surrounded by plane trees. Bigger ones where master chefs meet at dawn to create the day’s menu. At Château d’Estoublon we have bought a classic 2CV to take you from one market to the other.

Estoublon has a taste for the grape and for the olive, for the perfume of fresh seasonal vegetables and juicy fruits. Here, in one dining room or another, in the garden or in the Great Hall, the table set for lunch and dinner is a sundrenched Medi-terranean feast from a land spoiled by Mother Nature.

Of course Château d’Estoublon has a heliport. The French Riviera is less than an hour’s flight away, Saint Tropez less than 40 minutes. For a flight in a glider, there is a nearby gliding airfield in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Provence is so beautiful seen from the sky…

Provence has its own cooking traditions quite distinct from other regions bordering the Mediterranean. An authentic style of cuisine featuring simple, joyous, appetizing dishes. Our chef at Estoublon knows just how to pass on all the finer points of making a tapenade or anchoïade, an aioli, baby stuffed vegetables, pesto soup, a bull’s meat stew and a 7-hour leg of lamb...

The wetlands of Provence look like the ends of the earth and every visit, no matter how long you stay, a day or a lifetime, is a voyage of discovery. The aquatic scenery, the work of the gardians – the marshland cowboys – the bullfighting traditions and the Gypsy Jazz music…it is an experience like no other, crowned by lunch or dinner at La Chassagnette, one of France’s most exceptional Michelin-starred restaurants. Quite simply unforgettable.

At Estoublon, the bouquets are unmistakably Provencal. They unite roses with white or pink oleander, garden irises and wildflowers, adding flowering thyme, lavender and rosemary. Typically Mediterranean, these armfuls of flowers like to meet up with grape and olive leaves.

A 4x4 is the best way to explore the trails of the Camargue marshes and drive the length of its vast, empty beaches... Around 1 pm, after a few dips in the sea, our chef will set the table for a chic picnic on the white sand.
